What are Talent Profiles?

This is a new way of registering your interest in a job.

You set up one TalentProfile with information about your skills and experience, as well as your requirements for a job (eg. shift availability, location etc). As soon as the info you've provided fits the criteria a company has set for a job, you'll be put forward as a possible match.

This means, when a recruiter at the company has a new vacancy pop up, they enter in a list of things they're looking for - this might include shift availability, a store location, maybe some job requirements (like a licence if it's a delivery driver job).  Once they've entered what they're looking for, they'll automatically be shown any Talent Profiles that match those criteria. If yours matches, you'll be included in that group.

Once they have the list of matching profiles to consider, they check them all out, make their selections, and the normal recruitment process will kick into gear.

For example:

Imagine Acme Corp is hiring. You fill in your talent profile - saying you're available for full time work, mon-fri, in Sydney CBD.
If there's an open position available at Acme Corp that fits those requirements, you'll be put forward as a possible great candidate. If there are only weekend roles available, you won't be because your profile tells us you're only available on weekdays.
But tomorrow, the recruiter might have a new, mon-fri job open up. This one fits your criteria perfectly so you'll automatically be included as a matching candidate for their consideration. 

Think of it as registering once, for lots of jobs. 

Basically, this portal is a place for you to fill in all those tedious application forms just once (so you're not having to do it over and over, every time you're interested in a job) and manage your own data - so if your contact details change, you can make sure the recruiters have up to date ways to get in touch. Over time, we'll add more features to your TalentProfile that'll let you showcase a bit more of what makes you special, and further develop the key skills that'll increase your shot at landing your dream role.
